Stop, Breathe & Think gives you the option to check in with how you are doing, mentally and physically, and then presents a list of meditations tailored specifically to you. The check in process is a simple way to quiet down, be still, and figure out what’s going on inside.

Then the recommended meditations are meant to be a support, and to help you deal with whatever is going on from the perspective of kindness and compassion. The app creates a log of your process, and you can share what you’re up to.

As the developers shared with us, “We wanted to give people a tool that was easy to access at any moment, and that they would actually want to use. Mindfulness and Meditation are really useful skills. You can change your whole frame of mind with just a few minutes of meditation.”

The mission of Stop, Breathe & Think is to inspire people of all ages to develop kindness and compassion in everyday life. They envision a world where everyone is connected by kindness and compassion and app was created to help make that vision a reality.

Everyone should give this app a try! It was developed with everyone in mind –  the app has two sets of meditations, one for teens and one for adults. “We also decided to keep the meditations short, so the app can be used anywhere – it can be used at home, in a park, on your lunch break, at school or on the bus.”


Simple Steps To Start Using Stop, Breathe & Think TODAY:

Step 1: Download the app!

Step 2: Create an account by entering some information (age, username, email…). This step is optional.

Step 3: Check in with how you are feeling.

Step 4: Pick from the list of prescribed meditations.

Step 5: Meditate!

Step 6: If you created an account, you can track your progress, earn stickers, and share what you’re up to.

There is a significant amount of research that shows how positive attitudes like gratitude, kindness and compassion strengthen mental, emotional and physical health, as well as our sense of feeling positively connected to others.

In the future, Stop, Breathe and Think plans to release an Android version, as well as provide more meditation options, including meditations lead by guest narrators and experts in the field. “We also plan to make components of our full Stop, Breathe & Think curriculum available through the app.”
